    Remembering What's Important...

    Hey guys!
    Totally loving this new website. I've been replying to all of your messages for a minute and it's making me feel so grateful to have you all as supporters, friends, and best of all, family members :)

    I just wanted to share what I've been thinking about today, as I spend time with my sisters practicing new songs and more to share with all of you...

    Often when I pray, I go over all of the things I'm grateful for in my head. It always reminds me of how many blessings there are in this world, so many things that slip out of sight all too easily without being recognized. Music, trees, animals, food, water, a place to sleep, fire, rain, sheets, paper cups, insects, stuffed animals, parents, family, transportation, failures, successes, valuable lessons, pain, joy, trial and error, pictures, memories, soap, books, methods of communication... oh, and LOVE. Haha

    How many things come into our lives every day that never register as something to be thankful for? How many times does our vision shrink down to the tiny size of whatever negative thing or problem is raining on us at that moment? All too often, I focus in on my problems, my failures, what others think or even MIGHT think of me, my feelings or my inaccurate perception of the world, and I forget all the beautiful things just chillin in my world.

    Forget. Miss. Take for granted. Neglect, and eventually lose... As Chris Brown says, you never miss a good thing 'til it's gone, then want it all back.
    I know a lot of people say things like "live life to the fullest with no regrets", "live every day like it's your last", etc. There are lots of random quotes out there about taking advantage of the present, and they call to my mind images of adventures, taking chances, speaking up, being bold and being innovative, among many other things... but they never make me think of being grateful or loving.

    Now, living life to the fullest and treating each day like it's my last involves filling my mind, body and soul with as much love as possible. Love for myself, my family, my friends, all of the wonderful things I've been blessed with, all the beautiful places I get to go and even live at, and most importantly, love for God.

    I want to love the whole world and everything inside of it and all of it's people, including those who are sometimes difficult to love. Those are the people who need it the most, and I want to try to get my love out to them in as many ways as I can, even if I don't want to sometimes. There's a lot of time, but there's no time to be selfish.

    I'm not going to say life is short, but I am going to say that it moves by too quickly to be focused on anything but love. I just want to give love a safe, healthy place to grow inside of my heart, until it takes me over and I have nothing left to do but share it with everyone whom I come across.

    Well anyway, all of you inspire me every day to stay positive and grow in love and peace with the world, and I just want to say thank you for giving me so much joy each and every day. You are each something to be grateful for, and you do NOT pass through my world without being recognized and cherished.

    I love each and every one of you and I'm so thankful for all of the positivity, love, and hope you bring to me every time I hear from you :)
